SLS-ELAN has Free-stop and Soft-down functions. SLS-ELAN is only available for Upward opening. (Additional hinge(s) is required).
Free stop feature holds a flap in any open position from 30° to 90°, and it slowly closes at the end (around 30°). The stay also has a lift assist mechanism allowing you open a flap lightly.
